Safety principles and service limits
The public website and this help center share information about Wrong Train, and they do not give professional advice or emergency help.
The Wrong Train website and this help center share information about Wrong Train and about using the website. They do not give professional advice, and they are not an emergency or crisis service.
If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Do not rely on the website, this help center, or email to Wrong Train for urgent help.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- The public website at wrongtrain.com, a single landing page that describes Wrong Train.
- This help center, a read-only site of help articles and policies.
- The email contact route described on the contact page.
It does not cover the Wrong Train iPhone app, the private workspace behind it, or SESHAT, the analysis layer described on the landing page. Those are in closed preview, by invite only, and this policy does not describe how they work.
What support covers
Support here means help with the public website and the information published on it and in this help center. That help comes from this help center's articles and the routes listed on the contact page:
- What is Wrong Train? and What can I use today? describe Wrong Train and what the website offers now.
- Requesting access explains how the Request an invite link works.
- A page or link is not working covers what to try when a page or link does not work.
- The contact page lists the route for reporting a website problem, and for privacy, security, or accessibility questions about the website.
This policy does not promise a reply to any message, or a time for one. For anything outside that scope, the website and this help center are not the right place to ask.
What the website and help center do not do
Nothing on the website or in this help center is a judgment about a real person or event. The website and this help center do not:
- Diagnose people, or assess anyone's health, character, or state of mind.
- Determine why someone acted as they did.
- Decide disputes, or say who is right in a disagreement.
- Give clinical, legal, or other professional conclusions or advice.
- Tell you that a person, place, or situation is safe.
- Provide crisis response or emergency help.
The landing page footer draws the same line for Wrong Train as a whole: "Wrong Train is not a legal, clinical, or crisis service."
Information on the website and in this help center is general. The Separate the layers demo on the landing page shows an idea applied to a synthetic example record. It does not look at your situation or anyone else's. None of this information, and no demonstration, is a substitute for help from a qualified professional who can consider your circumstances.
If you are in immediate danger
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services now.
Email to Wrong Train is not monitored continuously. It is not a way to get urgent help for yourself or for someone else, and the website and this help center have no emergency contact.
If you write to Wrong Train about a risk to someone's safety, Wrong Train may not see the message for some time and cannot provide emergency help or act on it urgently. Contact local emergency services first.
What to send, and what not to send
When you contact Wrong Train about the website, describe the website problem: the page, the link, and what happened. Keep the message to what is needed for that.
Do not send personal histories, information about other people, passwords, tokens, or private records. They are not needed for a question about the website. For the full list, see what not to send on the contact page.
Examples in this help center are synthetic. They do not describe real people or events.
Product principles on the landing page
The landing page describes a product in closed preview. Its Operating rules section describes, in summary, how that product is meant to work:
- Private by default.
- Data minimization.
- Deletion is real.
- Not a verdict machine.
- Built to be put down.
These operating rules are statements about the product in closed preview, as the landing page gives them. They are not commitments about this website, this help center, or the email contact route, and this policy does not extend them. For how the website handles visitor data, see Website privacy. For how to use the website and contact route, see Acceptable use.
Raising a concern
To report a problem with the website, or to raise a privacy or security concern about it, read Reporting a concern and then use the matching route on the contact page.
Changes to this policy
This is version 1.0 of this policy. The version and effective date appear on this page. When the policy changes, the new version is published here with a new version number and effective date. Questions about this policy can go through the contact page.
