Contact Wrong Train

Email Wrong Train about a website problem, a privacy question, a security issue, or an accessibility barrier.

How to contact us

Email is the only contact route. There is no contact form or chat on this help center or on wrongtrain.com.

The address is research@wrongtrain.org.

This one address handles website problems, privacy questions, security issues, accessibility barriers, and invite requests. A person at Wrong Train reads it.

Each section below has an Email Wrong Train link that opens a new draft in your email app with a subject filled in. Nothing is sent until you review the draft and choose to send it. If no email app opens, or the wrong one does, copy the address and type the subject yourself.

Before you write, read what not to send. To ask for an invite to the closed preview, use the Request an invite link on wrongtrain.com.

Wrong Train is not a legal, clinical, or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. This inbox is not monitored continuously.

Report a website problem

Use this when a page on wrongtrain.com or this help center does not load, a link goes nowhere, or information seems wrong or out of date.

Email Wrong Train about a website problem

This opens a draft in your email app to research@wrongtrain.org, with the subject "Website problem". Nothing is sent until you send it.

These details help describe the problem clearly:

  1. The page address, copied from your browser's address bar.
  2. A short description of the problem.
  3. What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  4. Optional: your browser and device, such as "Firefox on a laptop".
  5. Optional: a screenshot, with any personal details cropped out or covered first.

Example: "Page: support.wrongtrain.com/articles/. Searching for any word shows no results. I expected a list of matching articles. Safari on an iPhone."

Privacy questions

Use this for questions about what wrongtrain.com or this help center records about visitors, such as server logs or analytics, or about a message you sent to this address.

Email Wrong Train about a privacy question

This opens a draft in your email app to research@wrongtrain.org, with the subject "Privacy question". Nothing is sent until you send it.

Say which site your question is about and what you would like to know. You can also use this to ask what Wrong Train holds about you, or to have an email you sent deleted.

Security issues

Use this if you believe you have found a security weakness in wrongtrain.com or this help center.

Email Wrong Train about a security issue

This opens a draft in your email app to research@wrongtrain.org, with the subject "Security issue". Nothing is sent until you send it.

Include the affected page or address, what you observed, and the steps that led to it. If you came across a password, key, or token, describe where it appeared instead of copying it into the email. Leave out any information that belongs to other people.

Do not try to access, change, or keep information that is not yours, and do not run tests that could slow down or disrupt either site.

Accessibility barriers

Use this if something on wrongtrain.com or this help center is hard or impossible to use the way you browse, for example with a screen reader, keyboard navigation, zoom, or high-contrast settings.

Email Wrong Train about an accessibility barrier

This opens a draft in your email app to research@wrongtrain.org, with the subject "Accessibility barrier". Nothing is sent until you send it.

Helpful details are the page address, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. If you are comfortable sharing it, name your browser and any assistive technology you use. You do not need to describe a disability or share health information.

What not to send

Send only what is needed to describe the problem. Please do not send:

  • Passwords, one-time codes, recovery codes, keys, or tokens.
  • Personal histories, or descriptions of events in your life or anyone else's.
  • Personal information about other people, such as names, contact details, or messages they sent.
  • Private records, documents, or files, or screenshots of them.
  • Health, legal, or financial details.

If a screenshot would show any of these, crop or cover that part first, or describe the problem in words instead.

What to expect

An email you send carries your email address, usually the name set in your email app, what you write, anything you attach, and standard email header details such as the date and the mail servers it passed through. Mail for wrongtrain.org is hosted by an outside email provider, so messages to this address are received by that provider's mail servers.

Messages are kept while Wrong Train needs them to reply or to handle your request, and are deleted when you ask. The privacy policy has the details.

A person reads this inbox, but Wrong Train cannot promise a reply or a reply time.
