Requesting access

Wrong Train is in closed preview, and access is by invite. On the public website, the one way to ask for an invite is the Request an invite link on the landing page. It opens a new message in your own email app. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself.

How the link works

1. Open wrongtrain.com and choose Request an invite. The link appears in the page header and again in the section about access.
2. Your email app opens a new message addressed to research@wrongtrain.org with the subject "Invite request".
3. Add a short note if you want to (see What to write first), then send the message from your email app.

If nothing opens when you choose the link, your device may not have an email app set up. Copy the address research@wrongtrain.org and write to it from the email service you normally use, with the subject "Invite request".

The website does not send the email for you. There is no form to fill in and no account to create.

What to write

A short note is enough. The subject line already says what the message is for. Please do not include:

• personal histories or descriptions of things that have happened to you
• names, contact details, or other information about other people
• private records, documents, screenshots, or attachments
• passwords, codes, or other credentials

An invite request is not a way to ask for help with a situation. As the landing page notes, Wrong Train is not a legal, clinical, or crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. See Safety and service limits for more.

What happens next

The landing page states: "One email when a seat opens. Nothing else." That is what the page says about follow-up. It is not a promise that an invitation will be sent, or when.

• Sending a request does not create an account or give access to anything.
• The website does not publish a timeline for invitations.
• The website has no page for checking the status of a request.

Your email

Like any email, your request carries your email address, usually the name set in your email app, and anything you write.

• How long invite request emails are kept: while Wrong Train needs them to send the one email the landing page describes, or until you ask for them to be deleted.
• Withdrawing a request: email the same address and ask to withdraw it. Your request is then deleted.
